Defunct Celtic rock band Horslips are seeking a substantial financial payment nearly 20 years after they stopped performing.

In the High Court in Belfast yesterday five band members settled an action against the Outlet Recording Company, of Belfast.

The financial details have to be worked out but it is understood Mr Eamonn Carr, Mr Jim Lockhart, Mr Charles O'Connor, Mr Barry Devlin and Mr John Fean are claiming around £250,000.

Their last performance was at Belfast's Whitla Hall in 1981 and most of the money earned since was a result of the switch from records to compact discs.
