Rock Of Gibraltar, an uneasy 4 to 7 shot, cruised to success at the Curragh today to complete a Guineas double in the Entenmann's Irish 2,000 Guineas.
The colt, who is part owned by Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson, followed up his victory at Newmarket with an easy win in the testing conditions.
Mick Kinane was content to sit at the back of the field with the son of Danehill as stable-mate Nostradamus cut out the running.
Another Aidan O'Brien trained colt, Century City (6-1), took over at the head of affairs two furlongs out but Kinane's mount was never out of second gear and moved up smoothly to challenge.
Rock Of Gibraltar took command 150 yards from the line and never had to be asked any questions as he cantered to a length-and-a-half success.
Century City stayed on for second while Della Francesca made it a 1-2-3 for Ballydoyle by running on for third, three lengths further back.
