Andy Roddick blasted past Frenchman Sebastien Grosjean to claim his first Stella Artois title at Queen's Club, England today.
The 20-year-old American took just an hour to dispose of his opponent and wrap up his seventh career title 6-3 6-3.
And Roddick, who hit a world record-equalling 149mph serve during his win over Andre Agassi yesterday, troubled the speed gun again with 146mph and 147mph efforts in the eighth game of the second set.
Indeed Roddick even had one effort timed at 154mph which sadly rocketed into the net.
Roddick seized control of the match from the outset against an opponent who played his best tennis in his wins over Lleyton Hewitt and Tim Henman.
The favourite broke Grosjean in the sixth game of the first set when Grosjean double-faulted on his third break point.
Grosjean's own solitary break point chance in the first set came before Roddick managed to serve out for the set at 6-3.
Roddick's booming serves were proving tough for Grosjean to return and when the American broke again in the third game of the second set the contest was effectively over.
He served out comfortably and a one-sided contest ended on a lucky net cord. Luck was the last thing Roddick needed today.
