Andy Roddick maintained his charge towards a hat-trick of Stella Artois titles when he dispatched French seventh seed Sebastien Grosjean 6-4 7-6 in the quarter-finals today.
The defending champion, who beat Grosjean in the last two finals at Queen's Club, will play French teenager Richard Gasquet or Czech fourth seed Radek Stepanek in the last four of the pre-Wimbledon grasscourt event.
Grosjean gifted the American second seed the first set with two double-faults at 4-5. In the second set tiebreak Roddick created match point with a wonderful backhand pass and produced a 132 mph second serve to win it 7-5.
Later today, Tim Henman plays Sweden's Thomas Johansson before Australian top seed Lleyton Hewitt faces Ivo Karlovic for the first time since his shock first-round defeat at Wimbledon by the Croat in 2003.
