FAI Cup round-up:Shamrock Rovers brushed aside the challenge of Wexford Youths to book their place in the fourth round of the FAI Cup after a 5-1 win.

Dessie Baker opened the scoring on three minutes but Wexford were level on 13 minutes thanks to a superb lob by Gary Sheahan.

Rovers were back in front on the half hour when Gary Twigg met Danny Murphy’s ball from the left and headed past Holden from just outside the six-yard box.

Rovers increased their lead on 50 minutes when James Chambers pounced and Chris Turner put the outcome beyond doubt with number four on 70 minutes. Chambers completed the scoring 20 minutes from time.

Cork took the lead in the 34th minute through Graham Cummins but the visitors were back on level terms two minutes before the interval when Darren Meade took advantage of poor defending to net the equaliser.
