The Irish Republican Socialist Party, the INLA's political wing, last night called on the RUC to issue the results of forensic tests carried out on the bullets used in the loyalist gun attack on the Clifton Tavern in north Belfast on New Year's Eve in which 31-yearold Mr Eddie Treanor was killed.

The Loyalist Volunteer Force claimed responsibility for the attack, but witnesses said that they had seen a member of the Ulster Freedom Fighters in the getaway car.

The IRSP said that nationalists needed to see the results of the tests in order to establish which paramilitary organisation was responsible for the attack.
