The RUC are treating as malicious a fire at a house in the Seacourt area of Larne, Co Antrim after a night of disturbances in the area.
The fire in the unoccupied house was reported at 7 a.m. Neighbouring houses either side, which were occupied, suffered smoke damage.
Earlier three people were reported to have been assaulted and the windows of eight houses were broken. Two cars were also damaged.
One man was arrested and a RUC spokeswoman said inquires are continuing.
