THE RUC has renewed its appeal for information about the murder of the Catholic taxi driver, Michael McGoldrick, who was killed near Lurgan on the 7th July, during the Drumcree stand off. A dissident UVF group in mid Ulster was blamed for the murder.

A RUC spokesman said last night that police were keen for an anonymous male caller who contacted them on the 15th July to do so again. He also called on those who travelled in a red 4x4 jeep seen on the Brankinstown road on the night of the murder to "come forward and eliminate themselves from police inquiries".
