RUC detectives examining the attempted murder of a 19-year-old workman in Portadown last Thursday have today revisited the scene.

At around 8 a.m. last Thursday a group of workmen arrived at a building site at Beechgrove off Princess Way in Portadown, when two masked gunmen approached the 19-year-old and began chasing him.

Both men fired shots at the victim, wounding him in the arm.

The RUC stopped motorists and pedestrians in the area to seek help in identifying the men.

Police have asked that anyone with information on a silver Peugeot carrying three men or a blue Ford Escort seen in the area between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. last Thursday morning to contact the RUC station at Portadown.
