The Wales-Ireland rugby match scheduled for this Saturday in Cardiff, and postponed at the behest of the Government, could be rearranged for April 28th.

The England-Ireland match scheduled for Lansdowne Road, Dublin, on March 24th is also likely to be postponed.

All horse racing meetings in Ireland and the UK have also been banned, and the Department of Agriculture has banned the importation of horses and dogs from the UK.

A spokesman last night refused to put a time limit on the horse and greyhound racing ban in Ireland and said people were "strongly" advised people not to travel to the Cheltenham festival in March.
