An Irish international rugby player, Mr Shane Horgan (22), of Tara, Bellewstown, Co Meath, who is charged with assaulting a doorman at a Galway nightclub, appeared before Galway Circuit Criminal Court yesterday, where the case was adjourned to fix a date for his trial.
He is charged with assaulting a doorman, Mr John Fahy, outside the Alley nightclub, at Ball Alley Lane, Eyre Square, Galway, on October 31st last year, causing him harm.
He will appear before Galway Circuit Court again on November 1st, when a date will be set for his trial
