Ryanair carried over three million passengers in October, 23 per cent more than the same month last year.
Passenger figures released by the airline today show that the average Ryanair flight was 85 per cent full slightly down on the 87 per cent figure achieved last year. Internet bookings accounted for 98 per cent of all seats sold.
The airline carried more than 32 million people in the last 12 months.
Ryanair, which is set to announce half-year earnings on November 7th, said last month that trading was in line with expectations but that it remained cautious about the winter.
The airline has said it expected its yields - how much it receives per seat - to benefit from fuel surcharges being imposed by other European carriers to cope with high oil prices.
Ryanair, which has been expanding aggressively in Europe, said it carried more passengers than rival British Airways for the first time in August.
Ryanair shares were steady at €7.25 in Dublin this morning.
