Ryanair will cancel flights tomorrow at Belgium's Charleroi airport, its continental European hub, due to a planned nation-wide strike, according to its web site.
"As a result of a general strike by Belgian trade unions, Brussels Charleroi airport have confirmed that the airport will be closed on the 28th October," read a statement posted on its site (www.ryanair.com).
Belgium's three biggest unions have called on workers to go on strike for 24 hours tomorrow to protest against government plans to raise the early retirement age as part of a package of reforms.
