A sacked Spanish police chief opened fire in a Civil Guard station today, killing two officers and wounding at least one other before turning the gun on himself.
Antonio Penafiel entered the Civil Guard station he had previously commanded in the south-eastern town of Albacete and fired several shots before trying to take his own life, police said.
At least two people were killed including Mr Penafiel's replacement as station commander and the station's doctor.
Mr Penafiel had been relieved of his post as commander of Albacete's Civil Guard in February.
