Former France winger and captain Philippe Saint-Andre has applied to succeed Steve Hansen as Wales rugby union coach, according to media reports.
Saint-Andre is rugby director at Bourgoin in France and carried out a similar role for three years at English club side Gloucester.
He is reported to be one of around 15 applicants who also include another former France international, Laurent Seigne, Bourgoin's coach and twice a European Cup winner with Brive in the late 1990s.
The Guardiannewspaper quoted agent Peter Underhill as saying he had submitted the CVs of both men to the Welsh Rugby Union.
A WRU spokesman could not confirm the report or the number of applicants but said a decision on Hansen's successor was due next month.
Saint-Andre, 36, played 69 times for France between 1990 and 1997, 34 times as captain.
New Zealander Hansen is to return home in April after this year's Six Nations championship. He guided the Welsh to the World Cup quarter-finals before losing to eventual champions England 28-17.
