Racing: George Washington will lead Aidan O'Brien's four-pronged assault on the Coral-Eclipse at Sandown on Saturday week. Last season's 2000 Guineas and Queen Elizabeth II Stakes winner will be Ballydoyle's principal hope of out-manoeuvring brilliant Derby scorer Authorized.
O'Brien said: "George came out his last run well, as did Duke Of Marmalade — and the plan is to run both along with Archipenko and Admiralofthefleet in the Eclipse on Saturday week."
Breeders' Cup winner Red Rocks will bypass the Eclipse, however, having returned a dirty scope two days after finishing fourth to Manduro in the Prince of Wales's Stakes at Royal Ascot.
Trainer Brian Meehan told the Racing Post: "Red Rocks will miss the Eclipse and the King George. However, as we've said all along, his number-one target will be to attempt back-to-back wins in the Breeders' Cup Turf."
