Public satisfaction with the performance of the Government has increased by three per cent, according the latest Irish Times/MRBI opinion poll.

When asked "are you satisfied or dissatisfied with the performance of the Government?" 62 per cent of respondents said Yes - a three per cent increase from the last poll taken two weeks ago.
Thirty-two per cent said they were dissatisfied, one per cent down on the last poll, while six per cent said they had no opinion.
Support for the two main political parties remains unchanged with Fianna Fáil at 42 per cent and Fine Gael at 24 per cent.
Support for Labour has fallen by a percentage point to 12 per cent, as has support for Sinn Féin to five per cent and the Progressive Democrats to three per cent. Support for the Green Party has increased by two per cent to five per cent, while others is nine per cent - an increase of one point.
The core result of the poll - allowing for those with no opinion - reveals support for Fianna Fáil has increased by one point to 40 per cent since the last poll.
Support for Fine Gael support is unchanged at 18 per cent; Labour is down one point to eight per cent, four per cent support Sinn Féin (down one per cent); the Progressive Democrats has also fallen by one per cent to two per cent and undecided is 18 per cent.
Given a choice of five options for a possible coalition after the next general election, thirty-eight per cent of those polled said they would be prefer a Fianna Fáil, Progressive Democrats and independent TDs coalition.
Fifteen per cent chose a Fine Gael and Labour coalition; 13 per cent chose a Fianna Fáil and Labour coalition; 11 per cent said a Fianna Fáil, Labour and Green Party; Six per cent said a Fine Gael, Labour and Progressive Democrats coalition while 17 per cent said they had no opinion.
The poll was conducted last week among a national quota sample of 1,000 electors at 100 sampling points in all constituencies throughout the Republic.
