Racing:Schindlers Hunt will get another chance to showcase his talents over fences in tomorrow's Anglo Irish Bank Nas Na Riogh Novice Chase at Naas.
Dessie Hughes' charge missed out on a possible tilt at the Arkle due to a clerical error and although the Cheltenham Festival has been ruled out this year, the trainer still has high hopes for his charge.
Schindlers Hunt has gained the reputation of one of Ireland's top two-mile chase prospects on account of his back-to-back Grade One double at Leopardstown.
"He's in good form and I am looking forward to it," Hughes said.
"It's a goodish race and hopefully the going won't be too heavy, although it hasn't dried out much.
"He went through the ground at Leopardstown and that was as bad as you get, I suppose.
"The trip doesn't worry me at all — he went close over an extended two-mile four at Fairyhouse (when second to Cailin Alainn)."
The trainer added that Schindlers Hunt would not take up either of his two entries in the Ryanair Chase or the Jewson Novices' Handicap Chase at next month's Cheltenham Festival.
"He doesn't go to Cheltenham he goes for the Paddy Power at Fairyhouse and the Swordlestown Chase at Punchestown after that," he continued.
"That's his programme for this year and hopefully he'll go to Cheltenham next year."
The seven-year-old faces seven rivals in the Grade Two heat, including the useful Mister Top Notch.
Davy Fitzgerald's gelding was a ready winner of the Dr PJ Moriarty Novice Chase earlier this month and is set to be partnered by Conor O'Dwyer.
The Martin Brassil-trained Ambobo makes his seasonal reappearance and fencing debut, while Benefit Night is chasing a hat-trick for Daniel O'Sullivan.
Patsy Hall, a faller when taking on more experienced rivals in the Irish Hennessy on his last start, reverts to novice company once more.
Baron De Feypo, Letterman and Mercuric complete the list of entries.
