Scoil Chriost Ri in Turner's Cross, Cork, and St Flannan's College in Ennis, Co Clare, are the primary and second-level winners in this year's Telecom Eireann Information Age Schools Competition. Students were asked to create a project using their IT facilities (email or website) to build a partnership with a school in another State.
Four fifth-class pupils from Scoil Chriost Ri linked up with Lehua Elementary School in Pearl City in Hawaii. Four fourth and fifth class students from St Flannan's built an integrated website with students from Dr Losier Middle School in New Brunswick in Canada.
The winning Irish students will receive a free trip to Sweden and a £3,000 IT voucher for their schools.
