German Rainer Schuettler reached his first Grand Slam semi-final with a four-set victory over 10th seed David Nalbandian at the Australian Open today.
Schuettler won 12 of the last 13 games to easily defeat last year's Wimbledon runner-up 6-3 5-7 6-1 6-0.

But the Argentine could not take advantage, making 41 unforced errors and hitting fewer than half the number of winners Schuettler unleashed.

The German's previous best showing at a Major was a fourth-round appearance here in 2001.
Schuettler will take on either Andy Roddick or Lleyton Hewitt's conqueror Younes El Aynaoui in the last four.
