What's on today, Saturday, November 7th:
"Art meets Science" at the National Gallery, Merrion Square, lecture, followed by guided tour of "The Deeper Picture", an Irish Intercontinental Bank-sponsored exhibition on the conservation of art treasures, 3 p.m.
"How Science benefits the Environment", exhibition, at Enfo, Andrew Street, Dublin, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Exhibition on the building of the world's largest optical telescope by the European Southern Observatory, staged by the School of Cosmic Physics at Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies, Burlington Road, Dublin, 10 a.m to 1 p.m.
What's on Sunday, November 8th:
"Urban Geology Walk" to examine the building stones in the Kildare Street/Dawson Street area with Dr Patrick Wyse Jackson - meet at Nassau Street entrance to Trinity College, 2 p.m.
"Science in Action for the Family" featuring the Scienceworks Roadshow and other scientific exhibits at Leisureland, Salthill, in Galway city, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
