Scorpion, the mount of Frankie Dettori, heads a field of seven that have been declared at the final 48-hour stage for the Ladbrokes St Leger at Doncaster on Saturday.

All those engaged in the race at the five-day stage have stood their ground, with Scorpion's trainer Aidan O'Brien also represented by the twice-raced Avalon.

He was last seen finishing third in the Great Voltigeur Stakes and will again lock horns with the winner of that York race, Hard Top, who bids to end Sir Michael Stoute's Leger jinx.

John Dunlop is double-handed with Tawqeet and Kong, and David Elsworth saddles Great Voltigeur runner-up The Geezer.
