Rugby:Scotland have made one enforced change to their starting XV for this Saturday's clash with Samoa in Aberdeen, with Richie Vernon taking over from Scott MacLeod in the pack after the Edinburgh secondrow was ruled out with a rib injury.
Glasgow Warrior Vernon returns at number eight, with Leinster player Nathan Hines switching to the secondrow.
Loosehead prop Allan Jacobsen has been declared fit and will win his 50th cap, while Mike Blair returns on the bench. Sean Lamont also brings up his half century of Scotland appearances after being retained on the wing.
Blair is joined on the bench by Gloucester lock Jim Hamilton and Max Evans, the Glasgow Warriors centre who missed the Springboks clash through injury. Greig Laidlaw and Chris Paterson join MacLeod in dropping out of the matchday 22.
Samoa have also made one change to their starting line-up, with Toulouse’s Census Johnston coming in at tighthead prop in place of Anthony Perenise, who drops to the bench.
There is one change among the replacements, with Bordeaux flanker Daniel Leo named on the bench in place of George Williams, who is injured.
