Scotland coach Ian McGeechan has included two uncapped players in his squad to play Ireland in the Six Nations at Murrayfield on February 16th.

Kelso and Borders centre Kevin Utterson and Leeds Tykes prop Gavin Kerr have turned in notable performances for their clubs and are rewarded with a place in the 22-man squad.

McGeechan said: "Gavin has been consistently playing good rugby for his club as has Kevin so I had no hesitation in bringing them in to the squad."

Newcastle flanker Andrew Mower is selected as Budge Pountney's replacement. The former captain quit the international game last week.
