Edinburgh - Mr Henry McLeish was yesterday officially installed as Scotland's First Minister as he finalised plans for a cabinet reshuffle.
Mr McLeish's first engagement of the day was a meeting with Queen Elizabeth at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh, where she formally appointed him to the post left vacant after the death of Mr Donald Dewar earlier this month.
