Soccer:The most recent Scottish Cup finalists will meet again in the fourth round of this season's competition after Dundee United were handed a home clash against Ross County.
United will open the defence of their trophy against a team they have beaten in their previous three domestic cup campaigns.
Peter Houston's men defeated County 3-0 at Hampden in May and clinched a 2-1 victory after extra-time at Dingwall in the Co-operative Insurance Cup in September.
Rangers have been handed a potentially difficult tie against in-form Kilmarnock at Ibrox.
Rangers needed Kenny Miller to complete a hat-trick after beating 10-man Killie 3-2 with the help of two penalties in the Scottish Premier League on Saturday.
Celtic will face Berwick Rangers with the tie scheduled to be held at Shielfield Park.
Financially-stricken Dundee are likely to welcome their home tie against Motherwell given the Lanarkshire side normally take more than 3,000 visiting fans to Scottish Cup ties.
However, Dundee's participation is by no means certain given that administrator Bryan Jackson has warned that more money has to be raised to keep the club afloat beyond Christmas.
The only other all-SPL tie paired Hearts and St Johnstone together in an attractive-looking Tynecastle clash.
Under-pressure Aberdeen manager Mark McGhee got some much-needed luck with a home draw against East Fife after claiming that everything was going against his team following their weekend defeat by St Johnstone.
Several other SPL clubs were handed home draws against lower-league opposition.
Hibernian will host Ayr, St Mirren face Peterhead in Paisley, Hamilton welcome Alloa to New Douglas Park while Elgin City will make the relatively short trip to Inverness.
Buckie Thistle, the only non-league side definitely in the fourth round, will play East Stirlingshire away.
Beith Juniors face a trip up the west coast to face Morton if they beat Airdrie in a replay. Threave Rovers will welcome south-west rivals Stranraer if they shock Stenhousemuir in another replay.
Another derby could took place in the same region after 2008 finalists Queen of the South were drawn at home to Annan Athletic or Brechin.
Irn-Bru First Division title challengers Dunfermline will play Montrose at Links Park while 2009 finalists Falkirk host Partick Thistle.
The fixtures are scheduled to take place on the weekend of January 8-9.
