LONDON - The family of the founder of Scout movement has expressed surprise and outrage that the organisation was preparing to welcome gay leaders, it was reported yesterday.

Ms Betty Clay (79), a vice president of the movement and daughter of founder Robert Baden Powell, said: "My father would have thought this decision extraordinary. He did think homosexuality was wrong." Lady Baden Powell, granddaughter in law of the and vice president of the Girl Guides, also called the move "extraordinary" and "rather puzzling," the Daily Mail reported.
