David Seaman will take the rest of the summer before deciding whether to quit international football - but he is refusing to rule out staying on as England's number one.
The Arsenal goalkeeper was left devastated after Ronaldinho beat him with a free-kick to put Brazil into the semi-final of the World Cup and admitted that he was considering calling it a day at the highest level.
England coach Sven-Goran Eriksson has since stated that if he is still the best keeper at his disposal then he will continue to pick him for the European Championship campaign.
But Seaman is not prepared to go on if he does not think he will last until Portugal 2004.
"For me that's great (Eriksson's comments)," Seaman told ITV. "But I've had discussions with people that are close to me regarding my future with England and I've just got to sit down in the summer, have a nice holiday and think what I want.
"Whether that includes retirement I don't know, but it's something that I haven't ruled out. It's just that I need a really good think about it."
