Vienna - Rescuers have given up the search for any further victims of the deadliest avalanche this season which swept down a mountain in the Austrian Tyrol on Tuesday, leaving at least 11 people dead.
A tiny parish church became a temporary morgue yesterday for the bodies of the dead, victims of the 500 metre (1,600 feet) wide and 12 metre (40 feet) deep avalanche which covered the Kitzsteinhorn mountain early on Tuesday afternoon, close to the ski resort of Kaprun.
