Search for men's bodies to resume

The RUC is to resume the search for the bodies of two west Belfast men abducted and killed by the IRA 20 years ago. Officers will use more sophisticated scanning equipment to search for the bodies of Brian McKinney and John McClory, who are believed to be buried in the Colin Glen estate.

The men were abducted separately on their way to work in May 1978. A four-day search a fortnight ago produced nothing.

However, it is understood that new information has been passed to the police search team and they will return to the scene this week to conduct further X-rays with more powerful equipment.
