Two young men who escaped from Garda custody on Wednesday were still the subject of a Garda search last night. The men, in their late teens and early 20s, are cousins from Limerick city.
They fled from custody as they were been brought by gardaí from Limerick District Court to Limerick Prison, at lunchtime.
It is understood the two men, who were in handcuffs, had been brought before the court on burglary charges.
A Garda helicopter and members of the Garda Emergency Response Unit have joined the search.
