A search has been launched for two teenagers who disappeared more than a fortnight ago.
Concerns are now mounting for the safety of Amanda Coleman (17) and her boyfriend Raymond Constable (15), both from Limerick city. They have not been seen since February 4th when they were spotted on the southside of the city.
Last night, gardaí said: "Obviously when people are missing for this length of time there is concern for their safety."
They are not ruling out the possibility that the teenagers may have fled to England. "Nothing can be ruled out at this stage. However, the first thing we can do is extend our search to the rest of the country."
Gardaí at Roxboro Road, Limerick, say the missing teenagers are probably still in each other's company but there are now concerns for their welfare.
It is understood that Raymond Constable has gone missing before but has always turned up after a period of time. Raymond is 5'10", of medium build with short brown hair and blue eyes. He has a scar over his left eye and wears an earring.
When last seen, he was wearing a navy hooded top, navy tracksuit bottoms and white trainers.
Amanda Coleman is 5'2", of slight build with brown hair and blue eyes, but it is not known what she was wearing when she went missing.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information on the missing teenagers to contact them on 061-214340.
