The search  resumed this morning for the bodies of two fishermen missing since their boat capsized off the Wexford coast yesterday.

Local trawlers, two lifeboats and a naval vessel returned to the docks after spending yesterday searching for the two men missing off The Maggie B, which went down five-and-a-half miles south of the Hook Head peninsula.

The search for Glenn Cott, from Ballycotton in Co Cork, and Jan Sankowski, a 45-year-old Polish crew member, was called off at 8pm last night. It resumed at first light this morning. The coastguard said the search operation had also begun scanning the coastline for bodies.

The 15.5 metre trawler, which was out of Kilmore Quay in Wexford, first sent out a mayday signal at about 11pm on Wednesday.
