A second man is expected to die following an arson attack at a hostel in North Belfast on March 16th, the High Court heard yesterday. The statement was made by a Crown lawyer opposing a bail application by a 14-year-old girl charged in connection with the blaze which killed Mr Bryan Smyth (37). The girl, who cannot be named as she is under 17, is one of three charged with manslaughter and arson with intent to endanger life at Avonbeg House, Thorndale Avenue. The lawyer said nine residents were in the hostel when a fire was started in the living room.
