Second man charged with French students' murder

A second man has been charged with the murders of two French students in London, police said today.

A second man has been charged with the murders of two French students in London, police said today.

Daniel Sonnex, 23, of Peckham Park Road, south-east London, was charged with the murders of Laurent Bonomo and Gabriel Ferez, who were found after an explosion at a rented bedsit in New Cross, south London, on June 29th.

Mr Bonomo had been stabbed nearly 200 times while Mr Ferez had suffered nearly 50 knife wounds.

Mr Sonnex will appear at Wimbledon Magistrates Court on Monday where he will also face a charge of perverting the course of justice.
