London - A second man has died from injuries sustained at London's Notting Hill Carnival, the Metropolitan Police confirmed yesterday, Rachel Donnelly reports. Mr Abdul Bhatti (28), from Hounslow, west London, died on Tuesday night at St Mary's Hospital in Paddington, London, before his mother, who had flown to Britain from Pakistan, could reach his bedside. Police are treating his death as murder.

Mr Bhatti was punched and kicked to the ground by a group of men when he attended the carnival on Monday with friends. He was seriously injured when he fell into the basement of a house. His friend was treated for facial injuries.

The father of a three-week-old baby girl, Mr Greg Watson (21), was also killed at the carnival. He died on Monday night and he was the first person to be killed at the carnival since 1997.
