Dean Johnson (20), was shot dead as he sat in the back of a car outside a friend's home in Moorefield Avenue in Neilstown, west Dublin, on May 25th last year.

Gardai said they arrested a man in his mid 40s today in Clondalkin.

He is being held at Ronanstown Garda station under section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.

A 23-year-old man arrested in Co Wexford on Monday remains in custody at Lucan Garda station, under section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act.

Mr Johnson was killed when a man walked up to his friend's VW Golf car and fired five shots from a handgun into a rear passenger window.

He was hit in the head and shoulder and was later pronounced dead at Tallaght Hospital.

Mr Johnson lived a few doors away from where the shooting happened.
