Police in north Belfast were today investigating the possibility that the stabbing of a man in the stomach was a sectarian attack.
The man was attacked by up to four young men before 11pm last night in the Peter's Hill area of the city.
He was treated in hospital for injuries which were not believed to be life threatening.
His attackers are believed to have been in their teens. Detectives are trying to establish if they fled the scene in the direction of Millfield, Carrick Hill, North Street or the Shankill area.
