Police in Belfast investigating the death of a 29-year-old man in a stabbing have ruled out a sectarian or paramilitary link. Last night a 20-year-old man was being questioned about the stabbing.
The victim, who has not been named, died in hospital early yesterday after receiving one wound to his body.
The incident occurred on the Antrim Road, north Belfast, where detectives carried out a forensic examination, removing a number of items from two houses.
A PSNI spokeswoman said: "At this stage detectives investigating the 29-year-old's death have confirmed they are following a definite line of inquiry and the incident is not, I repeat not, sectarian or paramilitary related." - (PA)
