There is no question of cash from seized criminal assets being added to the Garda budget, the head of the Government task force on drugs said yesterday.
Minister of State Mr Pat Rabbitte said he was aware of calls for the seized assets of drug criminals to be given to the Garda. But he said the question did not arise, as the Cabinet had already decided that the money should go to youth diversion schemes.
