A Garda who pleaded guilty to the possession of child pornography has had his sentencing adjourned until September Dublin District Court.
This is to allow Garda Conor Brough to partake in a four-month treatment programme for sex offenders at the Granada institute in Dublin.
The 43-year-old Garda, with an address in Raheny, Dublin, had 23 images of child pornography on a computer hard drive in his home when searched by detectives.
A complaint to the gardaí from his estranged wife started the investigation. Judge Thomas Fitzpatrick adjourned the case for sentencing until September pending a report on his progress at the Granada institute.
