Six men and a teenager charged with firearms offences last year were charged at the Special Criminal Court yesterday with taking part in an illegal paramilitary training camp in Co Meath.

The seven were charged under the Offences Against the State Act with participating in training or drilling in the use of firearms at Herbertstown, Stamullen, Co Meath, on October 20th last year.

Before the court were three Dubliners: Mr Anthony Ryan (24), of Grange Abbey Drive, Donaghmede; Mr John McDonagh (34), of St Oliver's Park, Clondalkin; and a 17-year-old youth who cannot be named for legal reasons.

Also charged are: Mr Martin Conlon (29), of Railway Street, Armagh; Mr Seamus McGrabe (45), of Little Road, Drumiskin, Co Louth; Mr Seamus McGreevey (46), of Stamullen, Co Meath; and Mr Damien Lawless (31), of St Nicholas Avenue, Dundalk.
