A 16 year old girl was killed in Bangor, Co Down, yesterday afternoon and her 16 year old girlfriend was injured when they were hit by a minibus while out walking. The accident happened on the Grimsport Road at 3.15 p.m.

A motorcyclist in his 20s was killed near Roscrea, Co Tipperary, yesterday afternoon in a collision with a car. The driver of the car was taken to Nenagh Hospital, where his condition was said to be comfortable.

A second motorcyclist was killed in an accident at Lukeswell on the Waterford to Kilkenny road at about 4 p.m. yesterday. No other vehicle was involved and the seriously injured passenger was taken to Waterford Regional Hospital.

In another accident in Cappamore, Co Limerick, a man was killed yesterday afternoon when the car in which he was a passenger collided with a wall. Two other people were injured and taken to Limerick Regional Hospital.

A man in his 30s was killed last night when the car in which he was a passenger collided with a free between Ricehill and Crossdiney, Co Cavan. The woman driver was seriously injured and was transferred to hospital in Dublin.

On Saturday evening, a 67 year old man was killed in a crash in Midleton, Co Cork, between a car and a van. Five people were taken to Cork University Hospital with injuries.
