Around 2,000 people are marching through Dublin city centre in protest at the US-led occupation of Iraq.
The march, organised jointly by the Peace and Neutrality Alliance, the Irish Anti-War Movement and the NGO Peace Alliance, began at Parnell Square at 2.00 p.m. and is proceeding down O'Connell Street to Government buildings.
Marchers are demanding the handing back sovereignty to the Iraqi people as a matter of urgency.
Organisers say they also want to voice opposition to sending any Irish troops to aid the US occupiers in Iraq, even under a United Nations mandate.
