Sinn Féin's Ard Chomhairle is meeting in Dublin today to discuss the party's performance in the General Election and attempts by other parties to form a new government.
Sinn Féin has said it would not be willing to support a minority government from the opposition benches.
But as yet Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael have ruled out going into a coalition arrangement with the republican party.
Today's meeting takes place at the party's head office in Parnell Square in the wake of the party's poor showing in the election where it returned only four TDs.
