St Patrick's Athletic have announced that Shamrock Rovers, their tenants at Richmond Park, will not play any more home games there this season.
No announcement has been made as to where the Hoops' next home game, scheduled for Sunday week September 21st, against UCD, will now take place.
The announcement was made by St Pat's chairman Andy O'Callaghan in a radio interview this evening. He cited local residents' safety concerns as the main reason for the St Pat's decision.
Disturbances last week at Richmond Park witnessed Bohemians fans coming under attack from Rovers' supporters, when they attempted to board buses after the game.
Earlier today, Rovers issued a media statement, in which they pledged that: "this behaviour will not be tolerated and the perpetrators of these violent acts will be identified, reported to the authorities and banned from all Shamrock Rovers games."
