Karachi - The ousted Pakistani prime minister, Mr Nawaz Sharif, was handed over to police yesterday as the military government widened its crackdown on corruption with more middle-of-the-night raids.
Military sources have said Mr Sharif, who was moved to Karachi from Islamabad, may appear in court today after a complaint accusing him and four others of criminal conspiracy, hijacking, kidnapping and attempted murder was filed last week.
