GAA:The quality of preparation was vital to Tipperary's success in defeating Waterford in the All-Ireland SHC semi-final, according to manager Liam Sheedy.
"Waterford are a top class side. We knew they were going to bring a huge challenge to our team," he said following the 3-19 to 1-18 win. In fairness to the lads, they prepared really, really well, and we needed every bit of it.
"We got the goal at a vital stage in the first half, and it just game us a bit of impetus going into half-time. In fairness to Waterford, they came roaring back at us at the start of the second half.
"But we found our flow again and we struck some lovely scores, racked up a nice score, and it's just great to be back in the final."
