London - The sports goods manufacturer Nike insisted yesterday there was no evidence that some of its British-made football shirts were laced with a toxic chemical, Tributyltin, or TBT.
Fears have been raised over the safety of shirts manufactured for the German side Borussia Dortmund after a German TV show commissioned laboratory tests and claimed the shirts contained a chemical used on the bottom of sea vessels, which is also used to kill bacteria and quell the stench of excessive sweating.
