Gardaí are investigating an incident in Limerick City overnight in which a number of shots were fired.
Gardaí were called to an open area of ground at Childers Road at 4am.
Nobody was injured in the incident and gardaí recovered a number of spent cartridges from the scene.
The investigation is continuing.
